One of the hardest and most daunting things that I ever had to do was to assist with Sunday School ( Children's Ministry ). The reason why I say this is because children are so brutally honest. They are not afraid to speak the truth and say exactly what is on their minds. So if you think that you are going in to pull the wool over their eyes, or come in being not prepared for a lesson. The expressions on their faces will tell you exactly how they feel and where this lesson is going!!!
And yet in these times, it is their very innocence and honesty that we find most admirable.
There seems to be lately an undercurrent of racial remarks, hatred and violence. One can only imagine if this is the same sparks that instigated the killings of millions of people around the world. The names given, Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing...
As a mom, one of my happiest times of the day is when the kids are fast asleep for the night. I can finally have some peace and gather myself together. On one of these very nights. I found myself scrolling through Facebook. I came across a post of a racial argument. I knew i should have just continued scrolling. But my curiosity got the best of me and I went into the chat. I was not angry by the racial remarks that was being argued about. But I became instantly paralyzed by the hurt and grief that it caused me. Doing my ultimate best to fight back the tears I asked my husband, is this what God intended for when he created mankind? Imagine how boring it would be if everybody in the world was exactly the same color. And yet it is for this very reason ( color ) that there is so much division today.
John 13: 34 : A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Acts 10:34-35 : Then Peter began to speak. I now realize how true it is that god does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.
As Ambassadors For Christ, I am encouraged, blessed and strengthened. It is the love of God that is portrayed in us that overcomes hatred, division and murder.
As Ambassadors For Christ we spread the good news that God does not show favoritism. We spread the good news that God accepts every nation, the one who fears him and does what is right.
Just before I go to bed, I check up on my kids as they peacefully sleep the night away. I am fondly reminded of their innocence and honesty. They love their friends. Their friendships know no color. As a mom I make a promise to myself that I will do my ultimate best to keep it that way. I will always reinstate the love of God in them, so they may love others.
Before I fall asleep, I glance at my cellphone at the messages i missed from my friends. I smile as I remember how our friendship has evolved from colleagues to close friends. Though we are very different, we see no color. My only hope is that they have seen the love of God being portrayed through me.

Awesome! So true!
