In The Blink Of An Eye.........It Went BOOM!!!

An American Prophet asked the following question. Who is the most dangerous person in the world? Needless to say my guess was wrong, but his answer revealed was mindblowing.

The most dangerous person in the world, is the person who is not afraid to die!!!.

We live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world on the continent of Africa. However, it is not without its own shortcomings. As a mom and a woman, like many out here in South Africa. The safety of our kids and own lives always remain a top priority. Its never easy hearing or reading about incidents occuring when safety in a country is compromised. Exspecially when those impacted by it are the people themselves.

Yet this is the exact situation that Beirut found themselves on 4 August 2020. An explosion occured in the Port, killing 218 people, injuring 7000 and displacing over 300 000 people. Fast forward, and a year later the families of the victims are still awaiting answers.

I remember waking up to the news of the explosion and feeling very sad at the unforseen loss of so many lives. As a mom your mind begins to wander and you

automatically think, hope and pray that none of the fatalities included any innocent children.

Without any warning, any indication. In a blink of an eye, 218 people died.

I am reminded about the Prophets question. Who is the most dangerous person in the world?. The most dangerous person in the world is the person who is not afraid to die. When death occurs so quickly, without any warning and without any explanation. It is normally always the hardest to understand and accept. This is exspecially true for the 218 that died because of the explosion that occurred that day at the Port. There will always be bouts of violence and crime. There will be wars and rumors of wars, corruption and disregard for human life. These events and situations will always try to silence and dimenish us.

1 Corinthians 15: 55 - 57

Where, O death is your sting. The sting of death is sin and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

And then it comes to me, I finally understand. "The most dangerous person in the world, Is the person who is not afraid to die.

We see that death no longer has a sting because of the victory that has being given through to us by Jesus Christ. We start to live differently, unafraid, joyful, faithful and victorious. What makes us so dangerous is because we start living out our lives according to the purpose set out by God for us. There is nothing more dangerous than a person who knows their identity in Christ. That person will not quit, they will not be stopped or silenced. They will create, change and dominate their sphere of influence. They will run their race. They will not give up during difficulties and tribulations. But they will push on to the victory that is already theirs.

The most dangerous person in the world is the person who is not afraid to die because they know that death no longer has a sting.
