Its Sunday night, my two teenage boys are asleep already and its just my daughter and I.

Sunday nights are her favorite as its hair wash day in preparation for the upcoming school week. Her hair is washed, blow dried and ironed. She is very patient as she knows the outcome will always out way the time and effort that she has to put in by keeping still for the next hour.

And as I blow dry her hair, I fondly remember my mother doing the exact same routine for me, the night before the school week. Precious memories, that which I am honored to now share with my daughter.

As once a girl child, and now a mom myself to a girl child, there is no words to describe the blessing bestowed upon you for the privilege that you have of bringing up this precious human being. Having two boys prior, the experience, differences and utter joy of having a girl has being an amazing privilege and honor.

Before her birth and after, there is a constant need and desire to protect and nurture this girl child. How amazing is it to see her transform into her natural beauty and talents. The only goal and end line is to help her walk into her God purposed calling and destiny placed in her.

But as we are so reminded to be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

The enemy, the devil, who prowls around like a roaring lion has taken the form and shape of many who we have come to know today. The victim, the innocent and pure, Girl Child.

We are very familiar with the Devil who has many times taken the form of the trusted and biological father, the new superhero stepdad on the scene, the rich and popular uncle, the trusted and reliable transport driver, the supportive and encouraging teacher to mention but a few. With a promise to protect and love the Girl Child has chosen to prowl around like a roaring lion awaiting the perfect moment to devour and kill her.

The choice method of killing, luring the innocent victims into their trap. Raping, assaulting and eventually murdering the Girl Child. Each victim, each story more grotesque than the last. And as we as a nation, try to comprehend this madness, this inhumane behavior, the destiny, hope and future of the Girl Child is aborted with nothing but memories of a life that could have being.

Woman of South Africa, we need to better!!!

The poor and unhealthy choices made when choosing the fathers of the girl child, knowingly and unknowingly.

The lure of riches and wealth that blur all understanding and wisdom and puts the innocent girl child at the mercy of their prey.

Woman of South Africa prioritize your mental health and choose to heal yourself before you decide give life to bring the girl child into this world.

The Blood of the innocent girl child cries out for vengeance. Betrayed by those who were suppose to protect her innocent the most.

Her blood is painted and her voice echoes through the walls of Parliament.

Her blood is painted and her voice echoes through the walls of Police Stations

Her blood is painted and her voice echoes through the walls of Court Rooms.

Though each of these institutions have ultimately failed the girl child.

Hope and faith does arise. For a remanent few have risen to the call where trust has failed.

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. In a country that seems at a loss, will a people rise up, who Prioritize the institution of Marriage and Family. A People who honor the sanctification of Marriage and Sex.

A people who honor and support the gift of life.

When the Church Arises and takes their place as the head of Government.

Then we will begin to see the redemption and healing of our land.
